Travel was a gift I was given young. My family believed that seeing the world was part of an education — that understanding different cultures, histories and the beauty of nature opens your mind in a way nothing else quite does.
The world is big. I have been lucky enough to start finding that out early, and I have never stopped.
I grew up in the hospitality world, exposed to all of it by my parents. At university I worked at Walt Disney World and lived on a ship while doing Semester at Sea — and both pushed my love of travel further, this time with a front-row seat to how other people choose to travel too.
That is where I learned that a journey is shaped by how you are looked after along the way.
Travel gives me freedom. Then a bad accident took that freedom away — along with my literal ability to move. What motivated me to relearn to walk was my love of travel: I wanted to keep seeing the world.
I feel most like myself when I'm exploring somewhere new. So I refused to let that stop.
I've been a creative for as long as I can remember. I was gifted cameras growing up and spent every trip experimenting with them — filming, framing, learning what a place looks like through a lens.
That play has grown into something I now invest in properly. I have an eye for this and I love the creative side — capturing the light, the motion and the feeling of a place, so the journey doesn't end when you come home.
